Medellin

Medellin was founded in 1616 by the Spaniard Francisco Herrera. It is in Valle de Aburra It is the capital of Antioquia and Colombia's second city. it has more than 2 millions of.people. the mayor is the political writer and Alonso Jaramillo. Medellín is important to the region for its universities, academies, commerce, industry, science, health services, flower-growing, festivals and nightlife. 

Weather :the city has the privilege of being surrounded by mountain ranges that give a warm weather, it is Known as the city of the eternal spring. Its average temperature is 24 ºC

Typical Food: In Medellin we can found several typical foods:

The popular Paisa tray which is made of: beans, arepa, rice, sausage, bacon.

Mondongo: soup made with  pork chicken yucca and cilantro.

Stew: chicken soup with potato and banana

Arepa: It is made of corn. It is eaten with cheese and hogao

Holidays :Medellin is a city holiday, like all the cities of Antioch
